FDA halts sale of Balance of Nature supplements and a restitution fund for refunds for consumers who purchased the product was created by a state court judgment

I hope you enjoyed a joyful - and delicious! - Thanksgiving holiday, surrounded by friends, family, and loved ones of all kinds. This year, I'm thankful for a relatively quiet fire season and a gentle start to our rainy season. I'm thankful to the City of Sonoma for their initiative and partnership to open a severe weather winter shelter for vulnerable folks in the Sonoma Valley. I'm thankful to be just weeks away from the opening of the East Sonoma County Services Center, which will bring much needed county services to the Valley - keep an eye out for an official announcement in an upcoming newsletter! Streaming Service Scams

Now scammers are imitating popular streaming services such as Netflix and Paramount +.  Recent emails indicated Paramount + subscription was expiring and had a realistic Paramount + logo but was a scam.  Similarly an email purporting to come from Netflix to sign up for a loyalty program was also a scam. The Sonoma County Community Development Commission (Commission) will be accepting funding applications from eligible applicants for Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME), Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), HOME American Rescue Plan (HOME-ARP) and Low- and Moderate-Income Housing Asset Fund (LMIHAF).
