Sonoma County tenant rights webinar set for October 17

Sonoma County will host a webinar on October 17 to update residents about their tenant protection rights including new rights recently adopted by the Board of Supervisors. The online informational session, which will include Spanish interpretation, will feature representatives from Legal Aid of Sonoma County and the Sonoma County Counsel’s office. Read full story

Board of Supervisors approves construction of Arnold Drive bike lanes in Sonoma Valley

The Board of Supervisors today approved a project to construct on-road bicycle lanes along approximately two miles of Arnold Drive between Country Club Drive and Madrone Road in Sonoma Valley. The project, which is expected to get underway in 2025, will improve safety and mobility for pedestrians and bicyclists. The plan also aligns with County goals for safe bicycle ridership and infrastructure, zero-emission transportation options, and the Sonoma County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Read full story

Survey to Explore Farmers' Perception and Behavior Towards Climate Change

Farmers, ranchers, and growers are invited to participate in a short online survey to capture their expertise in facing climate effects in water management and crop production, while asking for implemented adaptation measures and observed barriers. The survey is anonymous and can be filled via mobile phone and computer. It is available in English and Spanish, and the response time is no more than 10-12 minutes. Read full story

Ballots to be mailed out next week for November 5 General Election

Vote-by-Mail ballots for the Nov. 5 General Election will begin going out Monday, Oct. 7, to all active, registered voters in Sonoma County, according to Deva Marie Proto, Sonoma County Registrar of Voters. The ballots are expected to take between three and 10 days to arrive. Read full story

Notice of Intent to Award: RFP for Point in Time (PIT) Homeless County and Survey

The evaluation panel carefully reviewed and analyzed the proposals received in response to the above referenced solicitation.
