Proposed Fee Changes Effective July 1, 2025 - Department of Agriculture, Weights & Measures.
The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors are conducting consolidated fee hearings on March 25, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers located at 575 Administration Drive in Santa Rosa. The Department of Agriculture/Weights & Measures is proposing fee increases for the Agriculture, Land Stewardship, and Weights & Measures divisions. Read full story

The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors today approved a plan to eliminate millions of dollars in impact fees charged to developers that build affordable housing, part of an ongoing effort by the County to make housing more affordable and accessible. Read full story
Sonoma County Cannabis Equity Program to award $520,000 to help local entrepreneurs in legal cannabis industry
The Board of Supervisors today authorized a Cannabis Equity Grant agreement with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development including $520,000 in state funds to be distributed to qualified applicants who have been negatively or disproportionately impacted in the past by cannabis prohibition and the war on drugs. The State of California set aside funds through the Cannabis Equity Grants Program for Local Jurisdictions to reduce or remove barriers to enter the newly regulated cannabis industry as well as to aid the state in its goal of eliminating the illicit cannabis market by bringing more operators into the legal market. Early Notice and Public Review of a Proposed Activity in a 100-Year Floodplain County of Sonoma
This is to give notice that Sonoma County Community Development Commission (SCCDC) as the Responsible Entity and pursuant to 24 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 58, has determined that the following Proposed Project under consideration is located within a 100-year floodplain, and that the SCCDC will be identifying and evaluating practicable alternatives to locating the action in the floodplain and the potential impacts on the floodplain from the proposed action, as required by Executive Order 11988, in accordance with U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulations at 24 CFR 55.20 Subpart C.
