Volunteer Opportunities Working with Veterans

The County of Sonoma offers programs and services for Veterans. Opportunities sometimes exist related to services provided by the Adult & Aging Division of the Human Services Department. These include those established by California State law, such as the Veterans Remains Officers – volunteers who serves as liaisons with various departments and entities on local, statewide and national levels to identify unclaimed Veteran remains.

  • You can opt to submit an application and resume if you’d like, but there is no guarantee that you will hear from the department or program if there are not openings. Complete the volunteer application and email it to volunteer@sonoma-county.orgor drop it off at County of Sonoma Human Resources, Volunteer Program.
