Early in-person voting for the November 5 General Election will begin this weekend in Sonoma County, Registrar of Voters Deva Marie Proto reminded voters today. Seven Vote Centers will be open for 11 consecutive days from Saturday, October 26 to Election Day, Tuesday, November 5. Hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Election Day itself when the hours will be extended from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The seven Vote Centers opening this weekend (listed in alphabetical order by city) are as follows:

  • Cotati Veterans Memorial Building - 8505 Park Ave., Cotati
  • Healdsburg Community Center - 1557 Healdsburg Ave., Healdsburg
  • Petaluma Community Center - 320 North McDowell Blvd., Petaluma
  • Santa Rosa Veterans Memorial Building – North Room - 1351 Maple Ave., Santa Rosa
  • Sonoma County Registrar of Voters - 435 Fiscal Drive, Santa Rosa
  • Sebastopol Center for the Arts - 282 South High St., Sebastopol
  • Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building - 126 1st St. West, Sonoma

An additional 24 Vote Centers (for a grand total of 31) will be open for four consecutive days from Saturday, November 2 to Election Day, Tuesday, November 5. Hours of operation for these additional Vote Centers will be identical to those of the original seven Vote Centers (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. before Election Day, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day).

In accordance with state law, all active registered voters in Sonoma County should have been mailed Vote-by-Mail ballots earlier this month. Anyone who believes they are registered but did not receive a ballot in the mail should contact the Registrar of Voters Office. Voters who wish to fill out their Vote-by-Mail ballot rather than vote in person at a Vote Center can return their Vote-by-Mail ballot in the following ways:

  • Return it through the mail. In order to count, it must be postmarked on or before Election Day*.
*Warning: If you are placing your ballot in a USPS collection box on Tuesday, November 5 (Election Day), it is important that you note the last collection time listed on the box. If your ballot is placed in the USPS collection box AFTER the last collection time for that box, it will not be postmarked until the following day.
  • Drop it in one of 22 Official Ballot Drop Boxes throughout the county. The Drop Boxes are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week until 8 p.m. on Election Day.
  • Drop it off at any open Vote Center.

For a list and map of all Vote Centers and Official Ballot Drop Boxes, including addresses and dates and times they will be open, visit the Sonoma County Registrar of Voters homepage and click on the List/Map of Drop Boxes and Vote Centers link under the “November 5, 2024, General Election” heading.
