On July 27, 2021 the Board of
Supervisors preliminarily selected the vacant Sears and Auto Center property located at
the Santa Rosa Mall in downtown Santa Rosa as the preferred site for the
new County Government Center for purposes of conducting further analysis in
compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and, if needed,
the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)." Complete details can be

County staff are now working with
consultants to develop a Request For Qualifications (RFQ) to identify a
potential development partner and will return to the Board with results in due
course.
