RFP Medical Support for Disaster Shelter

Sonoma County is susceptible to a plethora of natural disasters, including but not limited to fires, flooding, earthquakes, and tsunamis, with multiple events of such nature potentially occurring within a single calendar year. Over the past several years, Sonoma County has experienced devastating wildfires including the 2017 Tubbs Fire, the 2019 Kincade fire, and the LNU Lightning Complex fires and the Glass Fire in 2020. The 2020 wildfires occurred amidst the County’s COVID-19 response, further complicating operations and exacerbating challenges. The wildfires displaced thousands of residents, destroyed homes and businesses, created hazardous air quality, and have had long lasting economic, environmental, and psychological impacts. In response to the County's history of frequent hazards, the Department of Health Services is proactively working to strengthen existing systems, expand personnel, and enhance services in preparation for the next potential disaster. POR LO PRESENTE SE DA AVISO PÚBLICO, de conformidad con AB1497 y el Código de Regulaciones de California (CCR), Título 27 Sección 21660.3, que el Departamento de Servicios de Salud del Condado de Sonoma, la Agencia Local de Cumplimiento de Desechos Sólidos (LEA) está procesando un Permiso de Registro para La ciudad de Santa Rosa. Tenga en cuenta que la LEA del condado de Sonoma recibió y aceptó presentar un Permiso de registro para una instalación de transferencia/procesamiento de volumen medio ubicada en 35 Stony Point Rd. Santa Rosa, CA 95401. La LEA ha determinado que el registro está completo y es correcto, según el Título 14 del Código de Regulaciones de California (CCR) Sección 18104.1. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, in compliance with AB1497 and California Code of Regulations(CCR), Title 27 Section 21660.3, that the Sonoma County Department of Health Services, Solid WasteLocal Enforcement Agency (LEA) is processing a Registration Permit for the City of Santa Rosa.Please be advised that the Sonoma County LEA received and accepted for filing a Registration Permit fora Medium Volume Transfer/Processing Facility located at 35 Stony Point Rd. Santa Rosa, CA 95401. TheLEA has determined the Registration is complete and correct, as per Title 14 of the California Code ofRegulations (CCR) Section 18104.1. The LEA is certified by the California Department of Resources,Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to enforce state laws and regulations at solid waste sites withinSonoma County, including Medium Volume Transfer/Processing Facilities. County Department of Health Services to receive $67.7 million in state awards for enhancing behavioral health infrastructure

California is modernizing its behavioral health delivery system to improve accountability, increase transparency and expand the capacity of behavioral health care facilities for Californians. To this end, the Behavioral Health division of the Sonoma County Department of Health Services has been awarded $67.7 million through the California Department of Health Care Services’ Proposition 1 “Bond BHCIP Round 1: Launch Ready” for projects that support behavioral health infrastructure. BHCIP supports the creation, renovation and expansion of facilities that serve individuals with mental health and behavioral health needs. Read full story
