Aging and Disability Commissioners sit on MPA Action Teams as well as the Oversight Committee. The Aging and Disability Commission hears regular updates from MPA Action Teams and works to align Commission priorities with MPA priorities.
The MPA Oversight Committee grew out of the Aging Together Steering Committee. Membership includes Action Team Chairs and executive leadership from local funders, non-profits, County departments and the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors.
The Oversight Committee provides expertise, guidance, and decision-making on the implementation of MPA strategies (including guidance on approaches/actions, timelines, and stakeholders).
Action Team members meet monthly to prioritize adopted strategies and to create and operationalize goal area action plans. They also select performance measures, attend training opportunities, and support community networking and messaging. The chair of each Action Team sits on the Oversight Committee to support cross-team collaboration.
